Anjan
From Curiosity to Coding
Anjan is a smart, intelligent, and curious child. His parents realized that he was deaf when he was just one month old. As deaf parents themselves, they understood his needs very well and made sure that he received strong language support from an early age. They gave him every opportunity to develop his language and communication skills.
At the age of two and a half, Anjan joined a play school where he learned and played alongside hearing children. He enjoyed observing the world around him and was always curious about new things. When he was four years old, he joined SKID School, where he continued his education and development.
From a very young age, Anjan showed a special interest in computers. He often watched his father working on a laptop and was fascinated by what he was doing. He would carefully observe the screen and became curious about how computers worked.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Anjan's interest in computers grew even stronger. Since he spent more time at home, he got an opportunity to explore computers more closely. His father patiently guided him and taught him the basics of using a computer. This became the beginning of a new and exciting journey for Anjan.
When school reopened, Anjan continued to explore his interest. During Classes 6 and 7, he attended coding classes. He became increasingly interested in coding and started learning different concepts with enthusiasm. Coding gave him an opportunity to think, explore, solve problems, and learn independently.
Interestingly, his interest in coding also had a positive impact on his overall learning. As he learned new coding concepts, his language comprehension, understanding, and learning capacity gradually improved. He became more confident in understanding instructions, following steps, solving problems, and expressing what he had learned.
Anjan's journey shows that every child has unique strengths and abilities. With the right support, encouragement, and opportunities, a child's interest can become a powerful tool for learning and growth.
For Anjan, a simple curiosity about his father's laptop became the beginning of a passion for computers and coding. His story is a beautiful example of how curiosity, parental support, education, and determination can open the door to new possibilities.
